Greetings from Nashville, Tennessee

Howdy.

I’m here in Nashville with the DN folk for a College Media Advisors workshop of some sort. Most expenses paid. Can barely beat that.

It’s awesome. Everyone’s jealous of what we do at the Daily News. We’re rockstars.

The best thing so far has been Jack’s Bar-B-Que. Unbelievable. Best pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had. The meat was perfectly tender, and the sauces they have are amazing. Also ate Mexican and checked out an excellent Irish pub. Hotel bar’s a little salty, though…

Maybe I’ll post again before I leave. Ya’ll come back now.

America, yippee kayo kayay

Liberals everywhere are feeling a little sick to their stomachs today. It’s not the worst news I’ve ever heard. But it’s definitely up there.

For a little cheering up, check out The Onion’s coverage of the whole thing. Other than that, I can’t tell you much except to schedule another day off about 4 years from now to try again. God help us if Dick Cheney doesn’t die before 2008.

Gawd. 2008. I’ll be 25.

Master music filmmaker

One of the greatest makers of music videos that I know: Mark Romanek.

He directed one of my favorite R.E.M. videos, Strange Currencies. I recommend you check him and this video out.
