Both of my Superbowl hopefuls were crushed today. That’s pretty disheartening. [sigh]
Forget the postgame show. I think I’ll just watch this Ray Kurzweil presentation about the Singularity on Book TV. It’s less spirit-crushing.
When someone asks you if you’re a god, you say yes!
eh, i wasn’t as disapointed with the Bears as i was with the Colts. 14-2, and they can’t even win one god damn playoff game.
The Bears? hell, i still surprised to see them in the playoff race, and the only place they can go from now is up.
But those Colts, man… what can you say that probably hasn’t already been said?
I know. And it looked like Rothle-something was playing hurt for 3/4 of the game! The Colts’ defence let the Steelers eat up too much of the clock, and Manning and co. made too many little mistakes. And Vanderjagt? Talk about choke. Gotta feel bad for the guy. He may be the most accurate kicker in the league, but 46 yards is still a long way.
There is plenty of blame to go around the whole team for the Colts. Just wish Manning hadn’t berated his “protection” in the post game press conference. I though he had more class than that. Frustration no doubt. Botton line, they flat out got their ass beat by a brilliant game plan and coaching job by the Steelers, especially the defense. The blockers had no clue where or when the blitzers would be coming from and even a future hall of famer can’t throw accurately when he’s continually harassed.
And the Bears… speaking of defenses, where the heck was theirs? The so called Monsters of the Midway got torched. Before the game I was talking to Corey and saying we needed to draft a good tight end but now I think maybe another cornerback is in order, somebody who can cover someone. Damn. I know Steve Smith for Carolina is good but cripes our guys couldn’t even stand up half the time. And why wasn’t Vasher, the pro bowl guy, assigned to cover Smith? Okay, I could rant and rant forever and ever but I need to get back to work. I do feel a little better now though, thanks for listening.
I don’t even really like football and I thought the Colts sucked!
As Colts fans we are getting used to the fact that we will make it to the playoffs every year only then to lose. This year I thought would really be the year, and yet again we were left heartbroken. I even received condolences at work that evening. How embarrasing…
i hate sports but it that kick sucked! i think michelle could kick better than that. just joking….she looks better than she acts….
