We bought a lawnmower today. My first.
It’s a nice push reel job, human powered and nonpolluting. We have a small lawn, so it’s pretty much perfect for us. Still in need of an electric weed wacker though.
Oh, and I broke a damn guitar string. And I wasn’t even rocking that hard.
An electric weed whacker would go against your environmentally friendly theme since electricity ultimately burns fossil fuels as well. I recommend a pair of those little hand held clippers where you can just get on your hands and knees and trim around stuff.
Yes, but the environment was probably harmed in the making of those tiny scissors, not to mention the remedies required to repair my broken body after spending the better part of a weekend hunched over or kneeling.
Let’s face it, lawn maintanance is a monumental waste of resources. But it’s in the lease, so what can you do?
You could always skip the entire lawn mower concept and buy a couple of goats. They should keep the lawn in shape.
A friend at work offered to let me borrow their lamas.
what song were you rocking to?
i know how you feel, though. breaking a guitar string is ultimatly one of the most depressing things ever.
Ooooo…Llamas! I vote Llamas! The neighbors will love you!
