New Migraine Boy strips, I think

For all my fellow pseudo-existentialists, you’ll be delighted to hear that Greg Fiering updated his site (at some point in the recent past, I’m not sure when), and is even releasing new Migraine Boy strips on the site.

I picked up Migraine Boy: Fair-Weather Friends several years ago when I noticed a Fiering strip in the liner notes of R.E.M.’s “Monster.” I loved it, and you probably will too.

“If music be the food of love, play on.
    Give me excess of it,
That the appitite might sicken and so die…”

Begun 12th Night yet? If you’re looking for a really good, non-Hollywood-co-opted-crappy version of it, check out Trevor Nunn’s 1996 adaptation. It’s funny, touching, vaguely erotic - and features Ben Kinsley, Helena Bonham Carter, and Nigel Hawthorne.

heard you didn’t like miami vice much.

i wasn’t blown away, but it was one of the lesser disapointments i’ve had for “bluckbusters” this summer.

i’m still crossing my fingers for Snakes of a Plane, though.

oh, have you seen the Dave Chappelle skit on Howard Dean’s battle cry? it’s hilarious, and it’s got me sayin’ “beyeaaaaaah!” for a lot more meaningless reasons. you should check it out.

oh, and i played a demo of Dead Rising. It’s the quintessential zombie-lover’s paradise, my friend. classic, slow zombies in the day, but creepy red-eyed spooky zombies by night. and you’re unlimited suppy of logical and illogical (a frisbee?) weaponry kicks ass. so far (the demo was limited), i’m pretty impressed by the sledgehammer, although we did find a katana that sliced zombies in half like they was butta.

but, dude, i’ll talk to ya’s later.

    corey.
